Jason Johnson

Jason is the lead pastor of Woodlands Point Community Church in The Woodlands, Texas.  He began his career as a student ministry pastor and began his studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. He later transitioned into working with young adults as a community pastor. Throughout that time Jason was always struggling with the call of God on his life. He knew that God was molding him and preparing him to be a lead pastor one day, but when that would happen and how it would happen were always terrifying thoughts to him.   In late spring of 2007 Jason was overwhelmed with the clarity of God’s call on his life. It was time. With the support of a like-minded church, the wise counsel of one his seminary professors he grew especially close with, and confirmation after confirmation from people he respected and trusted his community, Jason knew what he was supposed to do.   As a result, the church he leads was born.  His vision for the church is hat is would be a consistent missional presence in the community, the city and the world. That its members  would be passionate lovers of the Word of God and affectionate worshipers of Jesus Christ who are authentically connected with one another in deep and meaningful relationships – committed to being a Gospel-centered and Gospel-driven church.  He prays that in all we do and through all we are the truth of the Gospel would be unashamedly preached and undeniably lived out.  You can find him tweeting as @_jasonjohnson.
